Oak Grove, MO | Oct. 19, 2011 - When I was a youngster, I loved going to the races. I loved the smell, the sound and especially the sight – mostly of crashing cars. Drivers would lean on each other, rubber on rubber, and push the limits. Sometimes it’d work out and other times, it’d leave carnage. That was part of the attraction and entertainment.

Jonestown, PA | Oct. 7, 2011 - 38 of the 600 Sprints were on hand for the second to last race for the 2011 Linda’s Speedway season and Pro Series season. Two rounds of heat races were run and passing points accumulated in each set of heat races. Terry Schaeffer would drive his RTS Chassis to the front in the heat races gaining the most passing points and earn the pole for the 600cc Micro Sprint feature. The A-Main would see Schaeffer dominate the early laps before catching lap traffic when he became pressured by former National Open winner Thomas and 2011 point champ Carber. A lap 25 yellow flag gave Schaeffer open race track and he would drive away to his first win of 2011. The win came over Carber by 2.116 seconds.

Bernal’s win was his fifth in the last seven series races. Richard VanderWeerd of Visalia, Calif. finished fifth to secure his inaugural USAC driving championship by 39 points over Bernal, who was also the fastest qualifier. Dennis Howell paced the first three laps, then Troy Rutherford led the next 25. Bud Kaeding moved to the front on the white-flap lap, but yielded to Bernal on the final lap. Williamsburg, OH | Oct. 7, 2011 - So was that little wave on the parade lap a friendly gesture or pure taunting? #13 Barry Doss and #32 Chad Stapleton start 1-2 in the Late Model A-Main and have a great battle for the lead in the early laps last Friday at Moler Raceway Park. Then, while both fighting for second place (4:30 into the video), Stapleton gets into the back of Doss, tears up the nose of the #32 and stops on the track to cuss out everybody in sight... Plenty of MRP fans don't like Doss, but I can't see what he did to piss off Stapleton other than pass him. Any thoughts???

Knoxville, IA | Oct. 1, 2011 - Martinsville, Indiana’s Don O’Neal had not been to Knoxville Raceway since 2004 when he was injured here, but the wait was worth it. He captured the 8th Annual Lucas Oil Late Model Nationals presented by Casey’s General Stores. The win was worth $40,000 for O’Neal. 19 year old Austin Hubbard led early in the 100-lap event. By the tenth lap, Brian Birkhofer trailed, followed by Scot Bloomquist, Darrell Lanigan and O’Neal. By lap 19, O’Neal had moved by Bloomquist and Birkhofer into the second position as a three-way battle developed for the lead involving O’Neal, Hubbard and Birkhofer. On lap 24, O’Neal shot around Hubbard for the lead.

Cottage Grove, OR | Sept. 23-24, 2011 - In the fifty lap feature on Night 2, it was Colin Baker taking care of business and leading early but as the laps went down Kyle Miller would show his presence right behind him. In the first eighteen laps three cautions occurred keeping the field relatively close and it seemed a yellow was thrown right when lapped traffic was coming into play. A fuel stop at the twenty-fifth lap had Baker in front leading every lap from the green but things would change in lapped traffic during the second segment...
