Massey, Vanover, Lariviere, Fuller & Kinderknecht Victorious in Inaugural Fall Fling at Salina
video by Mike Kraft
Salina, KS | Oct. 16, 2011 - The 2011 racing season came to a climatic close on Sunday as five champions were declared in the first ever Fall Fling at the Salina Speedway. For Jeremy Massey, victory seemed to be a long shot as the laps wound down in the Belleville Motorsports Modified feature event...
Brandon Blochlinger had a controlling lead and looked to be headed for the win. But on a restart just past the halfway mark his ride went up in flames as the motor exploded, giving the lead then to Joe Cleveland. Cleveland would hold the lead until slipping up in turn three allowing Massey to take advantage and hold on for a $2,500 payday. At the line Jordan Grabouski finished second by inches over Cleveland with Mike Petersilie and Corey Lagroon rounding out the top five. FULL STORY & RESULTS
