Smee Aims For Three In A Row in POWRi Aussie Midgets


Archerfield, Qld AU | Dec. 4, 2013 - Australian Midget Car Champion Nathan Smee is back again this Saturday night (Dec 7) at Supercheap Auto Archerfield Speedway as Round 5 of the POWRi Australian Midget Super Series rolls into town. Smee has won both of his last two starts here and will aim to make it three wins in a row.

DU QUOIN, IL | Dec. 3, 2013 - Bryan Clauson won 26 features in midgets and sprint cars in national events and his second straight USAC National Sprint Car championship this year.

"The best season of my career," he said.

Clauson's extraordinary campaign continues Saturday (Dec. 7) with the opportunity to add a victory in an all-star style event in the fourth Great Clips Battle at the Center presented by K & N Filters, a non-points event organized by the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget Series, on the Mini Magic Mile at the Southern Illinois Center.

Bunbury, Western Australia | Dec 4, 2013 - Last night at Bunbury Speedway saw the Late Model division consistently put on some great racing, with the feature race being hailed by many, including the chief steward, as one of the greatest Late Model races they have ever seen.

Although on paper it would appear that Craig Vosbergen dominated the nights proceedings, he certainly didn’t have it all his own way, particularly in the feature where he was hounded by both Brad Blake and Warren Oldfield for the entire race.

BRASSTOWN, NC | Dec 4, 2013 - Ray Cook Racing closed out their version of the 2013 racing season on November 29-30 with the annual running of the 'Turkey 100' at the Swainsboro Raceway in Swainsboro, Georgia. The Crate Late Model biggie drew a stout 61 car field to Swainsboro and all eyes were fixated on the hefty $20,000 top prize. Ray Cook, who came in as the defending race winner, laid down the quickest lap in his group during Friday's time trial session and later scored the win in his heat race.

TRACKS DIVIDE $14K IN INAUGURAL SEASON NeSMITH STREET STOCK POINT FUND


CARTERSVILLE, GA | Dec. 4, 2013 – The inaugural 2013 season of the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division exceeded all expectations and the top drivers at eight different tracks will divide a $14,000 point fund. A total of 264 different drivers earned points during the 2013 NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division season.

The NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division drivers also competed for a $5,000 National point fund over a 27-week season that ran from March 25 through September 29. The NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division point fund will be divided up among the Top 10 drivers in the National point standings.
