Warrnambool Australia | Oct. 28, 2013 - Despite the fact that the calendar hasn’t even turned over into November yet, the Classic nomination list continues to grow, with 30 drivers and teams having already nominated to contest the three night 2014 Lucas Oil Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic.

The latest round of nominations have filtered through and the big names continue to roll in with a couple of genuine American Stars set to ply their trade at Sungold Stadium, Premier Speedway, Warrnambool come January 24, 25 & 26.

Ruhlman Bags Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series Win at Florence Speedway


Union, KY | Oct. 27, 2013- The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series completed its 2013 tour on

Saturday evening with the Summit Racing Equipment AMS Season Championship event at Florence Speedway and Brian Ruhlman of Clarklake, MI scored his first-ever series win and became the first driver ever from the Wolverine State to claim a win on the tour. Ruhlman’s victory was worth $5,000 and came aboard his Rocket Race Cars, Performance Race Engines powered mount.

SITKA, KY | Oct. 27, 2013 - Last night was a hard night for many of the drivers that competed at 201 Speedway. Dirt Dog and 201 Speedway would like to send out prayers to Josh McGuire, Chase Hunley, and Gary Neal Pennington who all suffered injuries in separate accidents.

STOCKON SCORES USAC/CRA HALL OF FAME CLASSIC WIN

PEORIA, AZ | Oct. 26, 2013 – Chase Stockon broke in Amsoil USAC National Sprint Car victory lane for the first time this year by racing topping Saturday night’s 13th Annual Hose Advantage Hall of Fame Classic finale atop the 1/3-mile Canyon Speedway Park clay oval.

While Stockon enjoyed USAC accolades for the evening, Josh Shipley and Dustin Cormany completed a sweep of the weekend’s action in Loan Mart Challenge Cup Sprint Cars and Micro Sprints, respectively.

FLOMATON SPEEDWAY SIGNS ON NeSMITH PERFORMANCE STREET STOCK DIVISION FOR 2014


CARTERSVILLE, GA | – Flomaton Speedway in Flomaton, AL has signed on with the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division for the 2014 season. Drivers in the Flomaton Speedway Street Stock Division will now be able to compete for both a Track Points Fund and a National Points Fund over a 27-week period from March 24, 2014 through September 29, 2014.

Narrogin, Wetsren Australia | Oct. 26, 2013 - Last night saw Narrogin Speedway play host to a snarling pack of twenty five 360 sprintcars as they fought it out to take honours in the opening round of the MMS Civil 360 Sprintcar Power Series. After an incredibly long night of racing it was Trent Pigdon who stamped his authority to take the win in the feature race ahead of regular 360 competitor Chris Ackland and come back racer Sean Zemunik.

Swindell Grabs 3rd ASCS Short Track Nationals Title

LITTLE ROCK, AR | Oct. 26, 2013 – Another birthday translated into another win for Sammy Swindell as he wired the field in Saturday night’s 26th Annual COMP Cams Short Track Nationals presented by Hoosier Tires 40-lap finale atop I-30 Speedway’s high-banked, ¼-mile clay oval.

After locking into his 11th career STN finale with a win in Thursday’s preliminary feature, the veteran shoe bested son Kevin Swindell in the opening pair of corners and was in firm command the rest of the way as he celebrated his 58th birthday by collecting the $15,000 winner’s share over this year’s STN field of 105 competitors from 21 different states.
