Marlar Muscles $10K Out of SAS Tennessee State Championship at Smoky Mountain Speedway

MARYVILLE, TN | Oct. 28, 2013 - The Southern All Star Racing Series would be in action on Saturday evening at Smoky Mountain Speedway for the TN State Championship presented by NAPA and Mike Marlar of Winfield, TN would grab the victory and $10,000 payday. Other feature event winners for the evening included Jake Teague of Wartburg, TN in Crate Late Models, Cameron Skinner in Classic Cars, and Ben Sexton in Street Stocks.

FRESNO, CA | Oct. 28, 2013 – To say that Dominic Scelzi is looking forward to the King of the West 410 Sprint Car Series event at Stockton 99 Dirt Track this Saturday is an understatement.

“I’m really excited,” he beamed. “We’re really fast every time we’ve been there. We’re going to go there with the same mindset and same attitude we’ve had before. We’ve got some high hopes for it because I’ve run well there in the past. I’ve got the best record out of anyone there so I’m excited to get back there.”

MIDDLETOWN, NY | Oct. 28. 2013 – Brett “The Jet” Hearn flew to his tenth carrier Eastern States 200 victory Sunday, Oct. 27, at the Orange County Fair Speedway, shocking crowds at the historic fall classic with his ability to stay fast and conserve tires for 200 laps on “The Hard Clay.”

“That’s not a lot of tire there,” Hearn said in Victory Lane after Sunday’s race, pointing to the nearly bald tires on the Madsen Overhead Doors No. 20 and admitting that a couple more green laps could have taken him to the pits. “I came really close, I really did.”

Lucas Oil ASCS Teams Head West for the Battle at the Border

TULSA, OK | Oct. 27, 2013) Following four straight nights of competition in the 26th COMP Cams Short Track Nationals, the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by MAVTV American Real begin the nearly 17-hour journey from Little Rock, Ark. to the very edge of the southwestern United States.

Beginning Friday, November 1, the Lucas Oil ASCS presented by MAVTV American Real returns to the El Paso Speedway Park in El Paso, Texas. The site of two previous National Tour visits, the series’ first appeared at the three-eighths, slightly banked oval in 1994 with Rickey Hood topping the field. Absent from the track until 2012, Logan Forler parked in victory lane for the first time against the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour in his first outing of the season his family backed machine, after parting ways with Van Dyke Motorsports with five nights remaining on the 2012 lineup.
