FRESNO, CA | Oct. 28, 2013 – To say that Dominic Scelzi is looking forward to the King of the West 410 Sprint Car Series event at Stockton 99 Dirt Track this Saturday is an understatement.

“I’m really excited,” he beamed. “We’re really fast every time we’ve been there. We’re going to go there with the same mindset and same attitude we’ve had before. We’ve got some high hopes for it because I’ve run well there in the past. I’ve got the best record out of anyone there so I’m excited to get back there.”

The Tribute to Gary Patterson event will mark his fourth visit of the season to the new 3/8-mile track in Stockton, Calif. In his last two appearances at the facility, Scelzi charged from 10th to a runner-up finish in July and he garnered his first career King of the West feature victory in August in thrilling fashion.

“It’s a really big 3/8 mile,” he said. “It might even be a half mile around the outside. It’s got long straightaways and some tight corners. You run the bottom a lot different than other places. It’s really fast if it’s slick or hooked up, but it’s really, really technical.”

Scelzi, who ranks 10th in the King of the West championship standings, will also be utilizing a crew from Roth Motorsports on Saturday.

“A big thanks goes to Roth Motorsports for their help this weekend,” Scelzi said. “I have no expectations. I’m just going to go in there and hopefully get a really good finish. There’s a lot of good cars and good drivers there. I’m really going to focus on my qualify effort. I want to get another top five this season so hopefully I can earn one of those on Saturday.”
