Australia | Oct. 12, 2011 - An historic first episode of Thursday Thunder (powered by Titan Garages) airs tonight. The new look studio and vast array of new guests both in-studio and on Skype combine to create a groundbreaking first episode that producers Darren Disbury and Wade Aunger are very excited about.
“I know we’ll do better in the weeks ahead because we’re still getting our heads around the technology but Sam Furler (our editor/slave) has done a fantastic job providing the bells and whistles,” says Disbury, “it was a mighty effort for the first show.”
Dan from Red X Video has created some memorable commercials for our sponsors and together with Sam’s work the result is a great new look. Stephen Pickering has again rocked the house with some fantastic photos and we also thank Linda Savage for helping out there.
The show features an emotional and inspiring interview with 10 times Australian Solo Motorcycle champion Leigh Adams. Leigh talks openly and candidly about his accident in the Finke Desert Race in June and his road to recovery while good friend and Gillman Speedway Stadium Manager Dave Parker sits in after talking about the new season ahead and the upcoming Leigh Adams night in November. It’s an amazing discussion with Leigh and there are some memorable images of son Declan racing and some incredible Leigh Adams greatness on video and photo format.
Teenage AWSR racer Mikayla Hein tells her refreshing story in the studio, new SAWA President Kent Roberts talks up the new WA Sprintcar scene from the cockpit of his truck on Skype, QLD Super Sedan star Steve Jordan fires up on skype from his house in Brisbane, WSS debutant Dylan Jenkin drops into the studio to discuss WSS and his Mum’s casseroles, wise-cracking crew chief Dave Sharman talks all things Eagle and QSS and there’s also an hilarious “Wild ride of the week” from the USA.
The new-look www.thursdaythunder.com.au website will be unveiled tonight just in time to view the first episode so don’t be concerned if you can’t access the site until 6.30pm EDST.
