Topeka, KS | Oct. 6-7, 2011 - Billy Moyer Jr. led all 30 laps and held off a hard charging John Anderson late in the race to score his first ever Lucas Oil MLRA feature event win on Night one of the Capital City Clash at HPT Speedway. Then after leading the first 13 laps of Saturday's Lucas Oil MLRA event at Heartland Park Topeka, Billy Moyer Jr. was held up in lap traffic and John Anderson took the lead on lap 14. He would remain out front until contact between he and Robbie Andersen on lap 37 would warrant a late race yellow, handing the top spot back to Moyer Jr....
"I was real patient in traffic and he got me like that," said Moyer Jr. of the early pass by Anderson. "As bad as we've been, I wanted to win so bad I can't stand it. To get two of these is awesome."
Anderson pulled to the pit area, and rejoined the field just before the final restart went green. He finished 11th in the final rundown.Al Purkey's 3rd place finish, puts both he and Anderson tied for the point lead with just two races remaining in the season.
