Meyers Battles Schatz to Score 5th Consecutive WoO Sprint Win

Fremont, OH | Oct. 15, 2011 — Jason Meyers had an opportunity and took it. The move paid dividends for Meyers as he claimed his fifth consecutive World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series win. The victory was the 55th of the 2010 Champion’s career and marked the Outlaws return to the 1/3rd mile track for the first time since 1993....

“Donny (Schatz) and I got to racing really good there for a few laps,” said Meyers. “I got a pretty good run off of turn two, I saw the opportunity and took it. It paid off for us again tonight. I’m really running out of things to say. This DDNi/All-Star Performance/GLR Investments/Media-Tile car was awesome again tonight and I didn’t have to wear it out to keep up with Donny. This streak has been amazing and to win 55 World of Outlaws main events is just very special. My crew chief, Brian, and his wife had a baby girl right before Knoxville this summer and she’s been out the past five races. She and her mom weren’t scheduled to go to Talladega but I think they’re going to have to go now.”  FULL STORY & RESULTS
