NeSmith Late Model World Championships Attack Bubba Raceway Park

OCALA, FL | Nov. 19, 2013 - The NeSmith Late Model Series started their season with a five night spectacle at Bubba Raceway Park in late January and early February. Ronny Lee Hollingworth grabbed three of those five features while Kyle Bronson and Ronnie Johnson grabbed one each. Those three pursued the Series ninth championship with Hollingworth leading out of the gate over Rookie of the Year candidate Bronson and Hall-of-Famer Johnson. The summer was not kind to Hollingsworth as he lost valuable points in a stretch while Bronson and Johnson steadily plugged away.
The slipper was a size off for Bronson as the Rookie just couldn't quite keep step with the Hall-of-Famer and Johnson wrapped the championship up before heading to the southern most state in the continental U.S. Johnson will have his work cut out for him, however, as Bronson knows the 3/8 mile of Bubba Raceway Park a bit better than the Hall-of-Famer does. Joining "Team Florida" with Bronson will be the expected suspects in two-time track champion Mark Whitener and his Big Frog Motorsports team, defending World Championships winner Ivedent Lloyd, Jr., Tony Stewart Racing Developmental Driver eleven-year old Tyler Clem, and four-time UMP Modified track champion Jeff Mathews. With the title and Rookie of the Year honors already locked up it's all about glory and cold hard cash- $10,000 of it!

The Hobby Stocks get a shot to impress and have $2500 on the line as well. "The Mayo Missile" Devin Walker will try to hold his ground as the "Big Lake Boys" led by Tim Powers, Brian Morgan, Trent Wilson, and Scotty Kay, Jr. make the trip up to steal the cash while the "Volusia County Vultures" led by Bubba Christian, Rodney Wright, and Donnie Ashford head west with a $2500 prize to be won. The Ocala area will send it's own fleet with Mike Stalnaker and Joey Forsyth trying to keep the cash in the county limits.

You won't want to miss the action of this two-night event that starts Friday and culminates on Saturday with plenty of cash and plenty of good racing.
