411 MOTOR SPEEDWAY BACK ON BOARD WITH NeSMITH RACING FOR 2014


CARTERSVILLE, GA | Nov. 19, 2013 – 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, TN is back on board with the NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series for the 2014 season.  Drivers in the NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series Late Model Division will compete for both a track point fund and a National point fund that will pay $10,000 to the champion.


411 Motor Speedway will also host four touring event in two NeSmith Racing traveling Divisions in 2014.  The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series will compete at 411 Motor Speedway in three races, and the Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series will make one appearance in 2014.

The first two NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring Division events will be a 40-lap $2,000-to-win race on Friday March 28, followed by a 50-lap $2,500-to-win race on March 29.  411 Motor Speedway will host an open practice on March 27.  The third NeSmith Chevrolet DLMS race will be the $4,000-to-win 3rd Annual J.T. Kerr Memorial 40 on June 7.

The Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series will make their first visit to 411 Motor Speedway on September 20 with the $3,000-to-win Volunteer Chevrolet 50.  The Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series is America’s first “Factory Backed and Factory Built” super late model series.

The super late models in the Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series are powered by the production-based economical all-aluminum Chevrolet LS engine that comes in the Chevrolet Corvette, Chevrolet Camaro, and the Chevrolet SS that are available at Chevrolet dealers world-wide.

411 Motor Speedway drivers have had past success in the NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series, placing four drivers in the Top 20 of the 2012 National point standings. 

Ryan King of Seymour, TN was the third ranked driver in the country in 2012 out of the 445 drivers that earned points that season, while Cory Hedgecock of Loudon, TN placed 11th, Trevor Sise of Knoxville, TN was 15th, and Marty Calloway of Maynardville, TN was 16th.

Other top 411 Motor Speedway competitors that will be looking to compete for the NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series National Championship include Adam Beeler of Knoxville, TN, John Cobb of Loudon, TN, Mack McCarter of Gatlinburg, TN, Kevin Henderson of Loudon, TN, and Pierce McCarter of Gatlinburg, TN.

Drivers in the NeSmith Chevrolet Old Man’s Garage Weekly Racing Series Late Model Division at 411 Motor Speedway will compete against drivers at other sanctioned tracks across the country through a points system over a 27-week season that runs from March 24, 2014 through September 28, 2014.  A driver’s best 14 weekly point totals will count toward the National Championship.
