Kyle Larson Headed to New Zealand! & Formula Racer Wootten Gets Back to Dirt Roots

Auckland, NZ | Nov. 1, 2011 - Nik Brown announces that Elk Grove, CA phenom Kyle Larson is confirmed to race at Western Springs Speedway! The Kiwi's may not know what they are in for with Larson as he has been winning in every type of open wheel car this year (Winged & Non-Winged Sprints - Midgets - Silver Crown). We're contacting Larson to learn more about his plans (midget, sprint, etc.) and whether or not the trip will include a visit to Australia...
Larson has been on a record setting pace this season in the USA, winning his first World of Outlaws feature in September at Silver Dollar Speedway, the ASCS Northwest Speedweek Championship and sweeping all three USAC Features (Non-Wing Sprintcar, Midget & Silver Crown) at Eldora Speedway's prestigious 4 Crown Nationals... a feat that has only been accomplished one other time (Jack Hewitt) in the 30 year history of the event!

21yr old Alastair Wootten of Stanmore Bay, New Zealand heads back to where his career started at the age of 8yrs racing Quarter Midgets at Western Springs Speedway. Wootten spent the past several years in the junior Formula ranks, most recently competing with the Toyota Racing Series.
