Friendship Speedway Partners With SECA For 2014
Elkin, NC | Nov. 25, 2013 - The South Eastern Crate Association (SECA) is pleased to welcome Friendship Speedway to the SECA family for the 2014 racing season. Under the leadership of General Manager Mike Brown and Promoter Michael Tesh, Friendship flourished in 2013 thanks to the support of fans, drivers, and the racing community.

In addition to adding another track to our team, partnering with Friendship expands our geographic territory and introduces our series to new drivers and fans. We appreciate the opportunity to serve their track."
"Sanctioning with SECA was without a doubt in the best interest of our track and the drivers that support us", stated Friendship's Michael Tesh. "We have continued to watch SECA and observe their growth. We want to be a part of that growth as we work together to grow the entire sport of racing. Their series and vision are exactly what Friendship is looking for. It should be noted that we are very appreciative of our previous sanctioning body and the relationship we shared with them. Drivers choosing to sign up with SECA will collect City Chevrolet Weekly Championship points at Friendship Speedway. The 2013 SECA Weekly Championship presented by City Chevrolet paid an impressive $7500 to the winner! The top 15 races will be counted toward the final standings, and the 2014 championship. Approved tire compounds for SECA sanctioned tracks are HOOSIER HTS spec 1350 and HOOSIER HTS spec 1600.
