Dennis Erb, Jr. Eyes Annual Trip to EAMS
CARPENTERSVILLE, ILL | Nov. 1, 2013 - Carpentersville, Illinois standout Dennis Erb, Jr. and his #28 team headed south to the Magnolia State on October 25-26 for the 19th Annual Coors Light 'Fall Classic' at the Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, Mississippi. A strong field of cars piled into Whynot over the weekend for the $15,000 to win, unsanctioned program.
Dennis logged the seventeenth fastest lap in Group B during the qualifying session, but later advanced up to third in his heat race to finish behind only prelim victor Jeremy Payne and runner-up Ray Moore. After starting the 100-lap feature event on Saturday from the outside of the eighth row, Dennis was able to work his way past eight competitors during the 'Fall Classic' en route to a solid eighth place performance.
Dennis Erb Racing will venture back down south this upcoming weekend (November 2-3) for the 39th annual running of the ‘National 100.’ The East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, Alabama will once again play host to the storied event, which boasts a hefty $20,000 top prize plus lap leader money. Qualifying and heat races are scheduled for Saturday evening, while the consolation races and the 100-lap main event are slated for Sunday at EAMS. Dennis has finished inside of the top ten in each of the last eight ‘National 100’ features dating back to 2005 and was an impressive runner-up behind only victor Jimmy Owens last season.
