Chico, CA | Dec. 11, 2013 - Over the past week there has been awhirlwind of news surrounding Jonathan Allard, and his future. From New Zealand, Allard has put together the statement below to Williams Motorsports, his fans, and his new team, Tri-C Motorsports.

“Years ago, I decided that my path in life would be as a professional race car driver. To this day, this is how I make my living. I have been fortunate enough to be associated with many race teams; all of whom have helped me on my way to achieving my dreams. An opportunity has been presented to me that will enable me to run a fuller schedule. Although being very happy with the Williams Motorsports team, I have decided to try something new, and it is with a heavy heart that I will be leaving the Morrie and Katie Williams, as well as the entire Williams Motorsports No. 0 Race team.

The association with Morrie and Katie was much more than an employer and employee; they became my family over the years, and my sense of loyalty to them is strong and has only made my decision that much harder. I feel at this point in my career it is time to do more, and not to wind down. Of all the race teams out there, I consider Morrie and Katie’s team to be one of the best, and will forever be grateful for the friendship, support, and family they provided. They stood beside me through all the ups and downs that go hand in hand with this sport.

Clyde Lamar’s Tri-C Motorsports team has asked me to join them as their driver in 2014, and I look forward with, great expectation, to the things we will be able to accomplish together. As a team, we will travel a little further, and race a little more, and I am very thankful and excited for that.

I wish Morrie, Katie and their team all the best in the future. I love them like family, and want only the best for them. Lani, Koby and I will truly miss racing with them and appreciate everything they have done for us.

To Clyde Lamar and the Tri-C Motorsports team, I am thankful for the opportunity you are offering me to be part of your organization and look forward to becoming part of your team.

To my fans, I hope you are as excited as I am to be entering a new phase of my life with the 3c team and I hope you will all support me in the coming years just as you have done in past. You are all important to me,” Jonathan Allard.

2013 BY THE NUMBERS: Races-66 Wins-13, Top 5’s-34, Top 10’s-39.

ON TAP: Jonathan will continue to compete down under, and will release his schedule with the Tri-C Motorsports team very soon.
