JOSH McGUIRE HEALING AFTER CRASH
Thanks for all the prayers!
Sitka, KY | Oct. 31, 2013 - Late Model racer Josh McGuire had a nasty crash a 201 Speedway last weekend and fractured the C1 vertebrae in his neck. Doctors decided against surgery but Josh will need to endure a lot of pain and be in a neck brace for at least three months. As of yesterday, Josh was still in St. Mary's Hospital but doing much better.
Wednesday Update from Josh's page:
"We had another day filled with progress. He had a great nights rest last night and this morning joined the clean-plate club eating everything on his plate--the food at St Mary's is good. That gave him energy to make two trips out of the bed and walking before noon. Then we made two more longer trips down the hallway. ( 4 walking trips total today). He was very awake most of the day and had plenty company to keep him talking and in good spirits--including quite the concoction of Orange Leaf yogurt from the Carriers, some Jim's Spaghetti from the Lamberts and the world famous donuts of The Puckett's. He is resting well again right now too (we decreased some headaches today which is good or he is just becoming tougher). There is PROGRESS in PRAYERS so keep up the good work prayer warriors and we too continue to pray for the trials and tribulations of others that have needs that God knows and understands bc we know we are not the only ones out there needing them. GOD IS A HEALER! I can't end a post without expressing my gratitude again and again and again...blessings beyond measures!" ~ Tracy McGuire
